Omaha Home for Boys Sells Cooper Village Property to NOVA Treatment Community

Longstanding provider of services to at-risk youth, the Omaha Home for Boys recently announced the sale of Cooper Village to NOVA Treatment Community. Cooper Village, located at 8502 Mormon Bridge Road in Omaha, is on the grounds of Omaha Home for Boys’ Cooper Memorial Farm. The portion of property sold consists of a 10.09 acre parcel of land that houses an administrative building, two resident buildings and a garage.

Omaha Home for Boys will maintain ownership of the remaining 107 acres of land at Cooper Memorial Farm. The Home will continue to serve vulnerable youth through its 4-H program and youth employment program at Cooper Memorial Farm.

“After careful consideration of many factors, it was determined that it was in the best interest of both Omaha Home for Boys and NOVA to sell the property,” said Omaha Home for Boys’ President & CEO, Jeff Moran. “We are thankful for the long-term relationship we have built with NOVA and are thrilled that both organizations will have the opportunity to continue to serve those in need in our community.”

NOVA Treatments Communities’ CEO, Pegg Siemek-Asche also added, “With so many changes over the years and treatment facilities closing their doors, it takes on a special meaning in behavioral health to have a permanent home for NOVA in the Omaha community.”

NOVA Treatment Community has been leasing the Cooper Village property from Omaha Home for Boys since December 2011.
