Beginning in July, Kids Can kids will learn basic Spanish through an intergenerational partnership with the Intercultural Senior Center.  The newly formed partnership, the Niños Pueden program allows seniors participating in the Intercultural Senior Center program to work with Kids Can’s preschoolers and school age youth to learn basic Spanish. The classes will be facilitated by the Intercultural Senior Center’s on-site English teacher with the assistance of the seniors with lesson plans provided by Kids Can’s program staff.

All classes and activities will be held at the Intercultural Senior Center at the Sokol South Hall at 2021 U Street.

Kids Can’s mission is to empower children and parents to reach their potential and enable older adults to maintain their independence.  We primarily serve the South Omaha Community and Douglas and Sarpy counties with programs such as preschool, toddler program, childcare, afterschool and tutoring in addition to community service programs such as senior transportation, tax assistance, food pantry referrals and computer classes.
