Join Open Door Mission for Ladle of Love Festival

On Sunday, October 23rd, hundreds of friends of Open Door Mission (opendoormission.org) will come cast their vote for their favorite soup! The event will take place from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. in the Garland Thompson Men’s Center, located at 2705 North 20th Street East in Omaha.

Guests will taste delicious soups and breads prepared by area chefs, cast a vote for their favorite Soup of the Day, view artwork created by homeless guests who have found safe shelter at Open Door Mission, and enjoy live Cajun-style music performed by Omaha’s Prairie Gators.

“This is a great, fun, family-friendly event. Plus, 100% of the proceeds go directly to providing services at Open Door Mission,” says Candace Gregory, President/CEO. “This event would not be possible without all of the gracious and tasty donations from area chefs and restaurants. We are excited to see who takes home the gold!”

Tickets are $10/advance or $12/door; admission is free for children 10 and under.
