JDRF Announces 2018 TypeOneNation Summit Date

Join JDRF (jdrf.org/omaha) for their annual TypeOneNation Summit on Sunday, November 11 from 1 to 5 p.m at the Scott Conference Center (6450 Pine St.). This free event is geared toward children, teens, and adults living with type 1 diabetes (T1D) as well as their families. The event offers a JDRF and T1D research update, educational breakout sessions, fun supervised activities for children, and the opportunity to connect with others affected by T1D. Doug Lowenstein from the JDRF International Board of Directors will be the events keynote speaker.

Breakout session topics include: T1D health insurance guide; the environmental, dietary, physiological and psychological elements that impact physical activity in people with T1D; emotional barriers and coping skills; school and T1D; and more. JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Their strength lies in the exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.
