Heartland Family Service sponsors Family Week of Iowa and Nebraska, proclaimed annually by the State’s governors during Thanksgiving Week. This year Family Week is celebrated November 18-24, 2012. The Salute to Families Celebration is the annual Heartland Family Service Family Week event.
Local families will be honored for their strong family life, community service and leadership. This year we are featuring all past Leadership Honorees for their significant contributions to our community. The honored families include: Challenged and Successful: Kelli and Jerry Joseph Family; Community Service: The Betty and Bob Dorr family; Commitment to Family: The Pat Borrink Family and Family Week Advocacy Award: Bob Roger, Jr.
The Salute to Families Recognition Dinner will be held Thursday, November 15, from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Happy Hollow Club, 1701 South 105 Street in Omaha. Tickets are $40.00 for adults and $15.00 for children.
