The Nebraska Chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation recently hosted their Links to a Cure Dinner Gala & Golf Pro Am on Thursday, July 24th at the Hilton in Downtown Omaha, and Friday, July 25th at Quarry Oaks Golf Course. The dinner gala began with a social hour and silent auction complete with food, drink and 100+ unique items for bidding and was followed by a sit down dinner, exciting live auction and keynote address by NHL veteran Jed Ortmeyer. The program was emceed by former CF Board Member Matt Schick of ESPN. The next day participants enjoyed the Inaugural Links to a Cure Pro Am and a post tournament awards ceremony.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is the world’s leader in the search for a cure for cystic fibrosis. Funds raised through Links to a Cure and other events like it have helped spur dramatic progress in the lives of those who have cystic fibrosis. Fifty years ago, most children with CF did not live long enough to attend elementary school. Today, people with CF are living into their 30s, 40s and beyond.
