Child Saving Institute Guild to Host PurseOnalities Event October 18

The Child Saving Institute (CSI) Guild (childsaving.org/newsevents/purseonalities) will host its annual fundraising luncheon, PurseOnalities, on Thursday, October 18, from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hilton Downtown, 1001 Cass St. The funds raised help at-risk children and families served by CSI’s 14 services and programs. Individual tickets start at $75.

With a theme of “New York, New York,” those attending will find a bit of the glitz and glamour of the Big Apple in the silent auction purse packages and a wonderful variety of shopping from some of the Big O’s best boutiques. The luncheon will feature speaker and award-winning author Laura Schroff, whose book “An Invisible Thread” shared her remarkable story of a little boy who changed her life.

Event Chairs are Emily Dugger, Micayla Lee, Stacey Patterson, and Carissa Schrager. Honorary Chair is Susan Haddix. Haddix has long been an advocate for and supporter of children. She served as a “Cradle Care” provider, welcoming hundreds of infants into her home as a foster parent over the years.

Child Saving Institute is dedicated to the prevention, intervention, and healing of child abuse, neglect, and abandonment.
