Intersystems is pleased to announce the expansion of their Omaha facility located on Highway 133 near Rainwood Road. Construction of the 60,000 sq. ft. addition will begin immediately, with completion scheduled for January 2012. The company expects the cost of the expansion and additional manufacturing equipment to top $10 Million.

Intersystems designs and manufactures material handling, sampling and weighing equipment used in grain, feed and processing facilities. The company moved from their former Millard locations into a new 140,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility in northwest Omaha in 2009.

Production and employment has steadily increased at Intersystems’ Omaha facility. When the new plant opened in 2009, the company employed 140 people. Today, that number has risen to over 200 employees and is expected to increase by an additional 25 to 30 people during the next year. These positions will include manufacturing, engineering, sales and administrative jobs.
