Western Regional Trustee Symposium Concludes in Omaha

Nearly 200 hospital trustees and healthcare leaders gathered this week in Omaha for the 22nd Annual Western Regional Trustee Symposium. The event was held June 6-8 at the Embassy Suites in downtown Omaha, adjacent to the Old Market.

Representing Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, participants spent the week learning from their peers on topics including: recruiting strategies for attracting physicians, developing strong organizational cultures in rural critical access hospitals and challenges surrounding population health.

The Nebraska Hospital Association (NHA; www.nebraskahospitals.org) served as host and Galen Wiser, a member of the NHA Board of Directors, served as chair of the symposium. Galen serves on the Board of Trustees for Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska.

“This was a very successful symposium, packed with some really dynamic speakers and lots of timely information;” remarked Wiser. “Omaha served as a great city for this event and hats off to the NHA for being such gracious hosts.”
