Victory Boxing Club and Community Center is holding a golf tournament on Sunday, August 21, 2011 at Miracle Hills Golf Course-1401 N. 120th St., Omaha.

The registration fee of $75 per person ($300 per foursome) includes 18 holes of golf with cart, pig roast dinner and hole prizes. Check-in at noon, tee off at 1:00 p.m. To register contact Tony Aguilera at npltaa@ups.com or 402-320-5815. For information about Hole Sponsorships call Sandy Rains at 402-578-7743.

All proceeds from the tournament will benefit Victory Boxing (VBC), a non-profit, faith based organization committed to addressing gang activity, school truancy and childhood obesity. The mission of VBC is to provide a safe refuge for the youth of South Omaha by pouring Christian principles into lives through the gift of boxing. The organization targets youth age 8-20, who are living in Omaha’s urban communities and are experiencing a shortage of healthy alternatives in their lives, a situation which plays to the advantage of gangs. With little or nothing to do after school, these youths are enticed to join gangs; simply longing to be a part of something and to fill a void in their lives.
