Gerst explained, “Amerlock 400 protects against rust on pipes, roofs, water heaters, tank exteriors and steel structures in industrial facilities. Amerlock 400 is a 2-part epoxy primer finish, which can be used as a finish on its own. Occasionally, we use a topcoat called Amershield for extended weather-shielding ability. This specialty coating system encapsulates rust on metal structures. Several of my commercial clients have chosen this added protection and I strongly recommend it to those companies that have experienced rust problems in the past.”
