Terry Kroeger, president and chief executive officer of BH Media Group, a subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway, Inc., and publisher of the Omaha World-Herald, Nebraska’s largest daily newspaper, will serve as the 2013 chairman of the Greater Omaha Chamber’s board of directors. Kroeger has served on the Chamber’s board since 2000.
Kroeger is a native of Omaha and a graduate of the University of Nebraska, with a degree in finance and economics.
He has been with the Omaha World-Herald Company for more than 27 years. In addition to his years in Omaha, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Kearney, Neb., and Stockton, Calif. Kroeger was named vice president of the Omaha World-Herald Company and joined its board of directors in 1996. In 1999, he returned to Omaha to lead the construction of The World-Herald’s production facility. He became president and chief operating officer of the company in 2005, becoming chief executive officer in 2008.
