Save the Date: Patriot Day Program and Lunch Free for First Responders, Military

The Strategic Air Command and Aerospace Museum (SACMuseum.org) is hosting a program and lunch event on September 11 in honor of first responders and military persons who have devoted their lives to maintaining peace and freedom in our country.

The public is invited to attend the program and lunch. The keynote speaker for this program is Tom Brewer a retired United States Army Colonel and a Senator of the Nebraska State Legislature representing the 43rd district. Colonel Brewer retired from the military in 2014 and became a Senator in 2016.  During his military career he was an Airborne Ranger, a helicopter pilot, and commanded an Air Calvary troop serving the Secretary of Defense on the National Airborne Operations Command Center at Offutt Air Force Base.

Brewer mobilized for Operation Desert Storm and served multiple combat tours of duty in Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. He received the Purple Heart medal for wounds he received during the Battle of the Bone Yard as well as the Bronze Star medal. He received a total of two Bronze Star medals and two Purple Heart medals while serving in Afghanistan.

The lunch and program begin at 11:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m. All military cardholders and first responders in uniform are invited to attend for free but must register in advance. General admission applies to non-members and all other guests; a complimentary lunch will be included with all RSVPs.
