Free Educational Series Targets Caregivers of Dementia Patients

Registration is underway for a free educational series that will help caregivers understand how to provide the best possible care for their loved ones with dementia. “Learning to Live with Dementia” focuses on the various types of dementia and how to manage symptoms. The workshop will be held Saturday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on February 25 and March 25 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 330 W. Halleck in Papillion, Nebraska. Participants are asked to attend both sessions. Nancy Flaherty, MS, a certified dementia practitioner and president of Flaherty Senior Consulting, is presenter for the series. She has extensive experience working with family caregivers and facilitating caregiver groups. Monthly Solutions groups provide opportunities for caregivers who have completed the Learning to Live with Dementia series to discuss topics related to caregiving.

To register for the free workshop, call Nancy Flaherty at (402) 312-9324 or email her at flahertyconsulting@cox.net. Visit www.flahertyconsulting.net for more information.
