Strictly Business Magazine has been in Lincoln for over 15 years.  In September of 2007, Strictly Business Omaha was launched.  The two magazines follow the same format, have the same goals and involve much of the same staff.

Strictly Business is a direct mailed news and marketing magazine.  A publication containing vital Lincoln and Omaha business information, it’s mailed into the hands of nearly every CEO, business owner and key executive in the city.  Not only does the magazine reach business owners and managers, but it also reaches secretaries, lower-level management and other employees within the office.  These readers are not only businesspeople, they are also the city’s biggest consumers.

Strictly Business is your sales representative.  It makes it possible for businesses and client prospects to make the connection every month.  With a shelf life of a full month, the magazine is passed around offices, reaching everyone from the president to the janitor.  With a shelf life of one month minimum (some businesses keep back issues of Strictly Business on display for 3-4 months), your ad, article or press release gets seen for a much longer period of time than other advertising mediums.

9900 copies of Strictly Business (Lincoln) are mailed in the Lincoln area each month and over 15,000 copies of Strictly Business Omaha are mailed to Omaha and surrounding areas each month.  With a large pass along readership, it is estimated that an average of five businesspeople read each copy of Strictly Business.

As a news source, Strictly Business Magazine supplies the area with relevant and current business information.  If you want to keep up with Lincoln and Omaha’s business community, you need to read Strictly Business. Personnel changes or additions, information on new businesses, columns written by prominent area business people, profiles on important people in our community and features on subjects relevant to current business today are just some of the areas covered in Strictly Business Magazine.  We also offer the unique opportunity for advertisers to take part in our articles and special features.  When an article is featured that pertains to specific advertisers, they get the chance to help write the story and to advertise around that story.

As an advertising tool, Strictly Business Magazine is unique by giving you precise targeting and a guaranteed total business market coverage.  This method has been proven very successful for advertisers.  The magazine is also an excellent tool to increase your visibility in the Lincoln area, whether you are trying to gain more clients or not.  This ‘image advertising’ works especially well in Strictly Business because of our high-end demographic.

Meet Our Staff:

Paige Zutavern

President, Strictly Business Magazine Lincoln
Vice President, Strictly Business Magazine Omaha

Paige Zutavern has been involved with Strictly Business (Lincoln) since its inception over 14 years ago. Now the President, Paige is happy to lend her expertise and help to Angela Lee in her endeavor as President of Strictly Business Omaha. Paige’s duties include ad sales in both the Lincoln and Omaha market, community involvement, administrative duties and general overseeing of both operations.

Paige comes from a ranching background in the Sandhills of Nebraska. She attended the University of Nebraska at both Kearney and Lincoln and, after graduating, began working for Gallup. Being involved with Gallup was a wonderful experience and she feels so owes so much of her business success to what she learned from working there for over three years. However, it soon became clear to both her and her husband that they were meant to own their own business and they eventually decided to take the plunge and start Strictly Business from scratch. It was tough going in the early days and many people told them they would fail. They ignored the negativity, though, and that has obviously paid off! Paige has worked hard to make Strictly Business (Lincoln) a success, paving the way for Angela Lee in Omaha. Though there is still lots of hard work involved in creating this new publication, Paige’s experience and success in Lincoln has definitely made the road a bit smoother.

Paige is married to her high school sweetheart, Shayne Zutavern, and they have two boys, Schyler (15) and Zane (10). They reside in Lincoln.

Angela Woltman
Vice President of Operations, Strictly Business Magazine Lincoln
Editor in Chief, Strictly Business Magazine Omaha

Angela has been with the company since 2001, when she joined the Lincoln publication as a featured writer.  Since then, her role with the magazine has grown to one that encompasses writing, editing, selling, managing interns and other employees and, in 2007, to doing all the same things for the Omaha area publication.

Angela  has a daughter, Delaney, two dogs and one cat.

Angela is proud to have been with the publication for nearly ten years and recognizes how lucky she was to find a career she loved soon after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a bachelor’s degree in psychology.  She would like to thank Paige for all of her support and mentorship and Angela Lee for letting her join the new publication and helping it grow.

Mercedes Meza
Art Director, Strictly Business Magazine Lincoln and Omaha

Mercedes joined the magazine in January of 2008 as an intern, while finishing her degree in Visual Publications at Southeast Community College. She graduated in June of 2008 and was hired on as a full time art assistant, then was promoted to art director later in 2008.

Mercedes is very grateful to everyone at Strictly Business for giving her the opportunity to work with them on a publication such as this. She feels very fortunate to have found a working place were everyone is valued & cared for. (She is in forever debt to Paige, Angela W. and Angela L. for believing in her and to Michelle Tilley for introducing her to the Strictly Business Ladies!)

Jill Mathis
Account Executive, Strictly Business Magazine Omaha & Lincoln

Jill Mathis is a graduate of the University of Hawaii, West-O’ahu. After residing in the islands for over 15 years, she relocated to Lincoln to be closer to her family, as well as, desired professional growth.

Initially, our relationship with Jill began in November of 2005 when she became a client to promote her wine business. After numerous networking events and social gatherings, it became clear that meaningful friendships were developing. Therefore, when the need for an additional Account Executive was identified, she was the perfect fit as trust and respect had already been established. Her duties include sales and marketing for new accounts and contributing writer.

Sonny Hill
Account Executive, Lincoln & Omaha

The son of a traveling evangelist and the oldest of six children, Sonny was a part of the Singing Hills musical group from a young age.  He continues to love singing and dancing and enjoys performing with his church’s choir.

Sonny’s career and family have taken him from Springfield Missouri to Louisville Kentucky and finally to Lincoln, where he worked for Gallup for 17 years.  When he left Gallup, he joined the Peoples City Mission as the Director of Church Relations and Director of the Distribution Center, until the recession caused his job to be eliminated.

Sonny has had a strong friendship with Paige since the two worked at Gallup together and this lead to her offering him a position as an account executive with the magazine.  Sonny comments, “I am extremely proud to be working for this outstanding publication and I can’t wait to be a contributor to our imminent growth.”

Sonny is married to a registered nurse and the two have four daughters.

Alicia Olson

Account Executive,  Omaha & Lincoln

Alicia became a part of the magazine in August 2009 as an Account Executive, managing the interests of clients in their advertising efforts.

She is from western Nebraska and has fond memories of having Angela Woltman as a neighbor and babysitter growing up.

Alicia has always had a passion for photography and visual marketing. Following her passion, she pursued a degree in Visual Publications and graduated college with her now coworker Mercedes Meza.

Alicia first became associated with the staff of Strictly Business by attending the shopping trips they put on.  Her relationship with the staff grew from there, and she was excited to join the team when a position opened up.
