Chad Liechti, LEED AP, has been awarded a license to practice professional engineering (PE) in Nebraska in the field of Building Systems Engineering. In addition to his PE in Building Systems, Mr. Liecthi is an accredited Professional (LEED AP) in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design and has a Master of Architectural Engineering Degree from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln. Mr. Liechti is also a Commercial Energy Plans Examiner for the International Code Council. Mr. Liechti manages one of KPE’s primary areas of expertise: large scale commercial renovations requiring modern and energy efficient HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning) systems, lighting, electrical power and plumbing. Schools, governmental and commercial facilities are a few of the primary market sectors where these types of large scale renovation projects occur. KPE is chosen as the primary professional-in-charge on these projects when the expected cost is predominately for new infrastructure and technology.
KPE, under Mr. Liechti’s direction, serves as the “built environment modernizer (BEM)” to provide all of the drawings, specifications, project management and construction oversight for gutting a building and re-installing new, modern mechanical, electrical and technology systems to cost effectively restore the facility for another life cycle.
